Job description

Overview

Public Area Attendant maintains cleanliness and order in all lobby and public area facilities, including restrooms, gaming floor, business center, gym, front office, valet/bell services, guest elevators, lobby lounge, casino, and employee back-of-house areas. The role requires delivering high-level professional and personalized guest service aligned with the Company’s brand standards and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity).


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all lobbies and public restrooms.
  • Sweep and mop carpets, clean lobby entrance.
  • Clean Fitness Center.
  • Remove trash from receptacles and empty ashtrays and urns.
  • Polish furniture, fixtures, and elevators.
  • Keep the front of the hotel free from trash and polish the lobby floor during the night.
  • Maintain the neatness of the back area of the front desk.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure all public areas are neat, vacuumed, and dusted.
  • Clean and maintain lighting fixtures.
  • Ensure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators, and doors are clean and free of marks.
  • Remove all trash from designated areas.
  • Periodically inspect restrooms/washrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and tidy, arrange cushions properly on lobby sofas.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries, assist with questions, and direct guests appropriately.
  • Maintain and care for all cleaning equipment used in the lobby.
  • Vacuum guest elevators and landings.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in environments with varying heat and noise levels depending on customer volume.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication with guests and staff.
  • Ability to carry heavy loads and work in confined, wet, and humid spaces.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
