Responsibilities

Public Area Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, meeting rooms, and other common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and polish surfaces such as mirrors, windows, and furniture.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure that garbage and recycling are properly disposed of.
  • Replenish supplies in public restrooms and areas (e.g., soap, towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer).
  • Dust furniture, artwork, and other decorative elements in the hotel’s public areas.
  • Ensure that all areas are tidy, organized, and free from debris or hazards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages in public areas to the housekeeping or maintenance teams. Create ticket in Alice.
  • Monitor cleanliness of guest facing and back of the house areas throughout the day.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Guest Request Responsibilities:

  • Accept guest request tickets for items such as towels, toiletries, linens or other amenities.
  • Record guest requests accurately and communicate with the housekeeping or front desk teams to ensure timely delivery of items.
  • Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly, within 10 minutes and courteously, ensuring that guest needs are met.
  • Monitor guest requests and ensure they are fulfilled efficiently to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for safety, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of corridors, housekeeping linen and storage closets, and public areas.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest inquiries by being knowledgeable of all services/features and local attractions/activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar hospitality role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness in public areas.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to speak and understand English is preferred.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks, including public area cleaning and guest requests.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
