Location

The Goodtime Hotel is a newly developed mixed-use project designed by Morris Adjmi and Ken Fulk, offering over 45,000 SF of ground floor retail opportunities in Miami Beach. The modern storefronts accommodate configurations from 500 to 5,000+ SF along Washington Ave., 6th St., and 7th St., providing excellent branding exposure to millions of tourists annually.

Overview

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining Highgate Hotel standards in all assigned public spaces including lobbies, Business Center, Fitness Center, restaurants, restrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, offices, elevators, pool areas, parking garages, driveways, and other public areas. Duties may include special cleaning tasks and assisting Room Attendants and Housekeepers as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain attentiveness, friendliness, helpfulness, and courtesy towards guests, managers, and colleagues.
  2. Use proper radio etiquette when communicating with staff.
  3. Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and staff.
  4. Handle Lost and Found items according to hotel standards.
  5. Return all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office at shift end.
  6. Report maintenance issues to supervisors.
  7. Be familiar with guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
  8. Deliver clean linen and handle trash as required.
  9. Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it properly.
  10. Vacuum corridors and keep public areas tidy.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and public spaces.
  12. Follow cleaning schedules for public areas.
  13. Keep stairwells and ash urns clean and well-maintained.
  14. Ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in hotel or related field preferred; prior housekeeping experience highly preferred.
  3. Flexibility to work long hours if needed.
  4. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  5. Ability to stand throughout the shift.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  8. Attentiveness, friendliness, and a service-oriented attitude.
  9. Participation in required meetings and training sessions.
  10. High standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  11. Adherence to hotel standards, safety regulations, and confidentiality policies.
  12. Ability to handle problems proactively and efficiently.
  13. Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas.
  14. Proactive initiative and guest service orientation.
  15. Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
