Job summary

ONE Gas is seeking a Community Relations Manager to support public policy advocacy in Oklahoma City. You will build relationships with local government, community leaders, and customers to promote a positive company image.

You will monitor city activities, coordinate with operations, and assist in regulatory negotiations while serving as a local spokesperson and advocate for corporate communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
• Five to seven years of relevant professional experience with emphasis on community relations.
• Experience with local government engagement and media relations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive company image through relations with government officials and community leaders.
• Builds and maintains relationships with local/state officials, business leaders, community organizations, local media, and customers.
• Assist in franchise and rate case negotiations with local officials and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with rates, legal and community relations to develop strategy and communications with cities and other entities.
• Support corporate communications locally as spokesperson for field operations.
• Engage with Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development groups to support growth.
• Present programs to field operations staff about campaigns and news items.
• Monitor City Council activities for policies impacting the company.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
