Job summary

ONE Gas offers a Summer 2027 Engineering Internship (OKC or Tulsa) designed to give motivated students hands-on experience within our Engineering team. You will work on engineering activities related to pipeline and storage systems, collaborate with multiple departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical or Civil Engineering degrees, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, enrolled at OU or OSU, and possessing prior internship

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering, with graduation expected December 2027 or May 2028.
• Enrolled at the University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Involved in extracurricular activities or leadership roles.
• Prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assist, and/or perform engineering activities related to design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems.
• Support project coordination across regions and departments (Customer Development, Operating, Customer Services) including bid proposals, line extensions, and construction/relocation projects.
• Provide technical assistance to management, regulators, contractors, and customers on matters such as meter settings, valve isolation plans, and applicable policies.
• Review, summarize, and assist in preparing engineering studies and status/activity reports.

We're seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Engineering team for Summer 2027 in Oklahoma City, OK or Tulsa, OK.

Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

What You Will Do

Coordinate, assist, and/or perform engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities.

Help with project coordination among area regions, departments (Customer Development, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including:

• Bid proposals and contracts
• Line extensions
• Construction and relocation projects

Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including but not limited to:

• Meter and regulator settings
• Emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems
• Policies and procedures

Review, summarize, and assist in preparation of information including but not limited to:

• Engineering studies
• Status/activity reports

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Ideal candidates are:

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering, preferably graduating inDecember 2027 or May 2028.
• Enrolled at the University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University.
• Maintaining aGPA of 3.0 or higher.
