Job summary

ONE Gas in Tulsa, Oklahoma, invites motivated students to join our Corporate Communications team for Summer 2027 as a paid internship. This hybrid program combines in-office and remote work, offering exposure to internal and external communications, media relations, web and social content, and corporate storytelling across Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

You will collaborate with professionals, develop content, and support publications while learning how communications align with company strategies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising.
• Prefer students who can manage multiple projects, are self-motivated, and demonstrate writing experience.
• Maintaining a GPA of 2.9 or higher.
• Involved in extracurricular activities or leadership roles.

We provide natural gas distribution services to approximately 2.3 million customers in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.Our internship program is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands‑on experience for professional growth and development.

We’re seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Corporate Communications team for Summer 2027. This hybrid internship offers a dynamic blend of in-office and remote work, giving interns exposure to real‑world communications functions, processes, and corporate operations.

Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

What You Will Do

• Help with communications tasks including writing and editing materials for internal and external audiences, media relations, web and social media content, and assist with storytelling efforts in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
• Work with subject matter experts and team leaders to develop communications and digital content.
• Plan, research and develop content for company publications for external and/or internal audiences.
• Help in the development of communications materials that support corporate strategies and maintain good working relationships with various stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Ideal candidates are:

• Pursuing a degree in Communication, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising, preferably graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
• Prefer students who can manage several projects simultaneously, are self‑motivated, have personal initiative, and demonstrate design and writing experience.
• Maintaining a GPA of 2.9 or higher.
• Involved in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles.
• Experienced through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work.

Compensation:All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.
