ONE Gas, Inc. is hiring a Field Technician Senior for P&M and instrumentation in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on installing, testing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment related to pressure, measurement and basic instrumentation across field sites.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of relevant experience (minimum 1 year) and be proficient with basic computer tools plus MS Office. A valid driver's license is required; CDL is preferred, with travel to various sites as needed.

Qualifications

Two to four years of relevant field experience; minimum one year required.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite as needed.
Knowledge of regulation equipment installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Fluent reading/writing in English.
Driver's license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining regulator settings and relief valves and large meter sets.
Assist with installing, testing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement and regulation devices including SCADA elements.
Drive and maintain company vehicle and complete compliance reporting.
Travel and work across field sites, often on uneven terrain, and comply with safety procedures.

Job Description

Assists with equipment, system, line and valve installations; calibrates and maintain equipment related to pressure, measurement, and basic instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining regulator settings and relief valves, as well as installing and configuring large industrial meter sets or pressure monitoring sites.
Assist with installing, testing, calibrating, and/or maintaining gas measurement, regulation, and recording devices and equipment including but not limited to:
- Chromatographs/ Sampling systems
- Electronic odorization systems
- Flow computers
- Satellite equipment
- Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and remote terminal units and equipment
- Pigging lines
- Locating lines
- Blowing drips
- Changing charts
- Filling odorant pots
- Regulating gas flow and/or pressure
- Monitoring dew points
- Collecting gas samples
Conduct field tests and/or proving meters and modifications to regulators and reliefs.
Drive and maintain company vehicle.
Prepare and review applicable compliance reporting
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience

This role typically calls for two to four years of relevant experience; (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).
Proficient in basic use of computers, including Microsoft Suite as needed.
Working knowledge of regulation equipment installation and maintenance.
Working knowledge of use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position.
Working knowledge in application of basic arithmetic:
- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Working knowledge and training relative to:
- Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
- Changing charts
- Basic customer service activities
- Characteristics of natural gas
Knowledge of transmission and/or distribution pipeline systems.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret internal and external mapping applications
work logs, job orders, consumption rates, charts, and operational and repair manuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Licenses and Certifications

Applicable driver's license

CDL preferred

Additional Requirements

Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10-15 times a day; up to 20 pounds 5-10 times a day; up to 30 pounds 5-10 times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:
- Mud
- Gravel
- Sand
- Rocks
- Ice
- Snow
Climb fences; walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas.
Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of company two way radio.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
