Job summary

CRUX Fermentation Project LLC in Bend, Oregon seeks an upbeat Pub Runner / Bar Support Staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences and support a vibrant bar and outdoor spaces.

You will assist with cleaning, running food and drinks, and keeping outdoor guest areas welcoming. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and flexibility, with opportunities for growth within the brewery’s hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service and a friendly demeanor.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift and carry glassware and supplies.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Hospitality or bar support experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and close-down tasting room by assigned check lists.
• Know our food menu and ingredients.
• Know beer menu and styles; read beer sheets and develop knowledge of beers on tap.
• Attend monthly educational and training meetings.
• Assist servers and bartenders by running items from the bar or window.
• Operate with the full hands in and full hands out motto.
• Communicate with guests at the front door about Crux Fermentation Project service.
• Develop knowledge of the brewery history and owners.
• Pay attention to visually intoxicated persons and report to staff.
• Arrive on time and check in with the lead on duty.
• Communicate with floor supervisor if a guest may be unhappy.
• Provide parking directions when assigned.
• Assist brewers with packaging shifts as needed.
• Other duties as directed.
