Job summary

McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House in Portland, OR is seeking a Pub Assistant-Assistant Manager (AAM) to support the Assistant Manager and Head Manager in running daily pub operations. The role involves hosting, assigning sections to servers, serving guests, handling payments at a POS, and ensuring excellent customer relations in a fast-paced environment.

The AAM will perform opening/closing duties, supervise staff, and may work outdoors seasonally.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC/WA liquor license.
• Previous related experience is required.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers.
• Ability to respond to alarm calls and answer pub related phone calls in a timely manner.
• Available to work a minimum of 35 hours a week, flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for guests and effective shift management.
• Safely lift and carry heavy objects when necessary.
• Manage staff and supervise responsibilities under managers.
• Oversee opening and closing duties of the Pub.
• Set up, maintain and breakdown service areas for efficient, safe service.
• Regulate labor and supervise side work, payroll, scheduling as assigned.
