Job summary

BMO Financial Group in New York City is seeking an Associate on the U.S. Power, Utilities and Infrastructure Corporate Banking team. You will support transaction execution, loan origination/structuring, and cross-sell pitches for PU&I clients.

The role requires 2–4 years in corporate/investment banking with strong credit analysis and modeling skills, plus excellent communication and collaboration. Salary and benefits reflect market norms.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Corporate and / or Investment Banking with aptitude in credit analysis and underwriting.
• Experience supporting the origination and structuring of loans, including revolving, term and bridge facilities.
• Deal execution and project management skills to handle multiple transactions and initiatives.
• Strong quantitative analytics, financial modeling and credit analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to create and deliver professional presentations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting transaction execution for a diverse PU&I client portfolio.
• Preparing credit documentation (applications, memoranda, presentations) for stakeholders.
• Completing due diligence and credit analysis on client relationships, including market/industry reviews.
• Communicating transaction risk factors to internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring regulatory changes that affect client portfolios and business needs.
• Generating updated financial models and analyses as needed.
• Collaborating with sector coverage to build marketing content and pitch books.
• Supporting strategic initiatives with internal/external stakeholders.
• Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Handling non-routine situations independently.
