Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking an ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete / Post-Tensioning (PTI) Level 2 Special Inspector for an approximate 12-week project at UNLV in Las Vegas, NV. The role may transition to full-time employment or continue as an independent contractor based on qualifications and project needs.

The inspector will conduct special inspections of pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete, document findings, and maintain clear communication with the Project Manager, contractors, engineers, and client

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in structural concrete inspection, including pre-stressed or post-tensioned systems.
• Must know IBC, ACI, PTI, ICC, ASTM standards as applicable.
• Ability to read structural drawings and project documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication; maintain inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform special inspections of pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete per project documents and codes.
• Document inspection activities and findings; communicate with Project Manager and client representatives.
