Job summary

Bureau Veritas seeks a Concrete Inspector to oversee QA at fabrication facilities for state DOTs and contractors. You will read blueprints, prepare inspection reports, and communicate with project teams. The role requires travel to various sites and remote work from the US.

Three years in concrete construction with precast or prestressed experience is essential, along with ACI Level I and PCI Level II certifications. Proficiency in Word/Excel and reporting is required.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum in concrete construction including one year minimum in precast or prestressed construction.
• ACI Level I Field Technician Certification is required.
• PCI Level II certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficient in creating reports in Word and Excel.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager to define scope, deliverables, schedule and budget for assignments.
• Communicate with fabrication shops, contractors and third parties to resolve schedule issues.
• Generate and process timesheets, billing reports and inspection reports on time.
• Prepare reports in hard copy and .pc format and transmit electronically to the Project Manager.
• Maintain positive relationships with client, fabrication facility and Bureau Veritas.
• Ability to work remotely from Bureau Veritas offices with travel to sites as required.
• Read and interpret complex design and fabrication plans and specifications.
• Document clearly using MS Word, Excel and other software; communicate technical issues to stakeholders.
