Job summary

AFC Materials Group in Lake in the Hills, IL is hiring a Cooking Solutions Assembler for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00am-1:30pm). You will assist in fabricating belts, baskets, and fabric parts for the Quick Serve Restaurant line, reading work orders and following written or verbal instructions on the line.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read and follow work orders and instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 15 pounds; occasionally 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Place ends on fabricated parts for belts.
• Unload cured belts from curing oven.
• Check belt pattern and weave for defects; sort products accordingly.
• Package belts and parts for shipment following instructions.
• Read orders and perform essential tasks with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with inventory in ERP.

Overview

Do you want to work in a hands-on environment where you will work alongside others to make products used in well-known companies? As a Fabricator you will assist in the fabrication of specialty light weight food belts, food baskets, and fabric pieces used in the Quick Serve Restaurant line of business.

What You'll Do

• Places ends on fabricated parts for belts.
• Unloads cured belts from curing oven.
• Checks pattern on belts and weave of fabric on baskets for defects and sorts the products accordingly.
• Applies instructions, inserts pin, and packages belts and fabricated parts for shipment.
• Creates belts, baskets, and other fabricated items for the FPG business by following written or verbal work instructions.
• Packages belts, baskets, and other fabricated parts for shipment.
• Works at different work stations as production needs require and as directed by the supervisor.
• Works on line where tasks vary from sewing to heat sealing.
• Able to read orders and carry out essential functions of the job without direct supervision.
• Good working knowledge of quality control and attention to detail.
• Maintains work area, lightly cleaning as necessary.
• Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Must embrace and model AFC's Core Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
