Job summary

Elmer Chocolate in Ponchatoula, LA, is seeking production operators to run and monitor automated candy-making lines. The job offers 12-hour shifts from 3pm to 3am Monday through Thursday, with Fridays on call, and pay DOE ranging from $18 to $25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated processes during the candy making procedure.
• Operate and adjust parameters on HMI (Human Machine Interface).
• Troubleshoot and correct minor malfunctions.
• Load and unload candy trays and counter molds.
• Operate CIP.

BASIC JOB TASKS (EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)

• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated processes during the candy making procedure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand & walk for long periods of time
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, use force, carry, push/pull, and lift <50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to apply manual dexterity and specified visual acuity
• Some areas require PPE & may cause occasional exposure to higher temperatures
