Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in dispensing medications, entering patient data, and maintaining accurate records. You will help with inventory, cash register duties, and provider communications while delivering a positive patient experience.

You'll work under pharmacist supervision, boost efficiency, handle third-party claims, and contribute to patient care through clinical services support and teamwork across the store.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists under supervision with dispensing and entering patient data.
• Fill prescriptions and verify accuracy while checking for interactions.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and pursue asset protection.
• Assist customers at the OTC aisle and handle clerical tasks including third-party claims.
• Support pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist in clinical services and collaboration with healthcare providers.
