Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy technician to assist pharmacists under supervision, process prescriptions, and manage inventory. You will interact with customers, handle telephonic inquiries, and support workflow within the Pharmacy Department.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification, 1 year of pharmacy tech experience, fluency in English, and a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends. Willingness to obtain immunization certification is expected.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification is required (except Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; fill prescriptions.
• Verify medicines and check for possible interactions; support workflow.
• Register sales at the cash register and assist customers to OTC products.
• Handle calls not requiring pharmacist attention and assist with clerical duties.
• Lead pharmacy inventory management and supplier shipments.
• Support clinical services and coordination with Walgreens clinics and providers.
