Job summary

HealthPRO Heritage in West Brookfield, MA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an on-site role. The PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, provide direct patient care, and support therapy services across nursing facilities, retirement communities, hospitals, home care, and pediatric clinics.

Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in PTA, eligibility for state licensure, strong communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA from an accredited program.
• Active state PTA license or license eligible.

Responsibilities

• Patient care: Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Treatment and Education: Monitor and document progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
