Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team on an as-needed basis. You will assist in implementing treatment plans under a licensed Physical Therapist to promote recovery and improve residents’ mobility in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Qualifications

Current, active North Carolina PTA license.
Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
Experience in a SNF or geriatric care preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork.
Willing to work weekends and outpatient coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist the physical therapist with individualized treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility.
Provide hands-on guidance during therapy sessions.
Monitor progress and update treatment plans as directed.
Educate residents and families on exercises and safety measures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain compliance with regulations governing rehabilitation therapy.
Assist with outpatient therapy and weekend coverage as required.
