Job summary

First Search Inc. is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team in California.

You will carry out skilled treatment programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, and ensure accurate documentation and respectful communication with patients and staff. Qualified candidates are graduates of CAPTE-accredited PTA or PT programs, hold a current state license and CPR, and can lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA or PT program.
• Licensure: Current valid State license/registration and CPR certification.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and stand/walk for most of a shift.
• Skills: Strong teamwork, time management, and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out skilled treatment programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Record patient activities and charges using medical terminology in a timely fashion.
• Maintain respectful dialogue with patients, families, and medical staff.
• Adhere to State Practice Acts, OSHA standards, and Medicare regulations.
