Job summary

River Edge Rehabilitation & Nursing in Waynesboro, VA seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

You will implement patient treatment plans, work with the rehab team to adapt programs to patient abilities, and guide patients and caregivers in therapy techniques to improve independence and function.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program (APTA-certified).
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice (Virginia).
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to adapt programs to patient needs and capabilities.
• Assists the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
