Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant. The PTA works under supervision to provide physical therapy modalities, wound care, and patient education per treatment plans.

A sign-on bonus is available and you will collaborate closely with the physical therapist to ensure quality patient care. Requirements include current PTA licensure in Texas and BLS certification.

Formación

• Active PTA licensure in the state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Performs wound care and topical medication applications.
• Measures patient status within licensure limits and plan of care.
• Maintains communication with the evaluating therapist to maximize benefits.
• Implements education plan for patient and family as directed.
• Assists with discharge planning and addresses concerns with the therapist.
• Documents progress and collaborates to modify treatment as needed.
