Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of a physical therapist and support a defined group of patients with therapy, wound care, and topical treatments per treatment plans. Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation).

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under supervision per plan of care.
• Assist with wound care and topical medications per protocol.
• Take measurements and assess patient status within licensure.
• Collaborate with the supervising therapist to maximize therapy benefits.
• Educate patients and families as outlined by the therapist.
• Assist with discharge planning and address concerns with the therapist.
• Document progress and adjust treatment in collaboration with the therapist.
