Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Autumn Lake at Ocean View in Ocean View, NJ. You will assist with skilled nursing residents, strengthening mobility under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Candidates must hold an active NJ PTA license, have reliable documentation, and be comfortable with PRN coverage aligned to facility needs. Prior SNF/post-acute experience is helpful; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Ability to provide safe, attentive treatment within an established plan of care.
• Clear communication and reliable clinical documentation.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized interventions prescribed in residents' physical therapy plans.
• Guide exercises that build strength, balance, and endurance for daily activities.
• Practice walking, transfers, and bed mobility using appropriate assistance and mobility equipment.
• Reinforce movement techniques while following medical precautions and monitoring treatment tolerance.
• Communicate changes in symptoms, performance, and participation to the supervising PT.
• Document treatment accurately and coordinate with nursing and rehabilitation staff on mobility recommendations.

$40–$45/hour | PRN

Support recovery one treatment session at a time. Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Autumn Lake at Ocean View to help skilled nursing residents strengthen their mobility skills under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist.

What You'll Do

• Carry out individualized interventions prescribed in residents' physical therapy plans.
