Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to support Bedford Hills Center in Bedford, NH. You will provide hands-on treatment under a supervising PT and help maintain continuity of rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, guiding residents through mobility and strengthening exercises, and documenting progress. PRN scheduling offers flexibility with facility coverage, while a collaborative leadership

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in NH is required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow an established care plan and adapt as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the supervising Physical Therapist’s treatment plan and match activities to residents’ abilities.
• Coach residents through strengthening, balance, and endurance exercises.
• Assist with walking, bed mobility, and transfers between surfaces safely.
• Reinforce proper use of mobility devices and follow precautions.
• Keep PT informed of functional changes and barriers to participation.
• Complete clear treatment notes and coordinate with nursing and rehabilitation teams.

$35–$40/hour | PRN

Help residents make progress with the movements they depend on every day. Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Bedford Hills Center to provide hands‑on treatment and support continuity of rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing setting.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out the supervising Physical Therapist’s treatment plan, matching prescribed activities to residents’ abilities and tolerance.
• Coach residents through strengthening, balance, and endurance exercises.
• Provide practice with walking, getting out of bed, and transferring safely between surfaces.
• Reinforce proper use of prescribed mobility devices and follow resident‑specific precautions.
• Keep the PT informed of functional changes, treatment responses, and barriers to participation.
• Complete clear treatment notes and coordinate with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues on daily mobility needs.

Qualifications
