Job summary

WeCare at Avalon Care Center in New Castle, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and move forward. The PTA will support the physical therapy team by implementing treatment plans, preparing patients and equipment, and recording responses to therapy.

Ideal candidates have graduated from an accredited PTA program and hold a current State PTA license. Outpatient experience is preferred, and the role offers competitive pay and benefits including

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
