Job summary

WeCare at Avalon Springs Care Center in Mercer, PA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and independence. You will work closely with the physical therapist to modify treatments, prepare patients and equipment, and document progress in a supportive, on-site setting.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an accredited PTA program with an active state PTA license; outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
