Join us as a PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant at Kennedy Care Center
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Kennedy Care Center. This is a part-time, entry-level position in the healthcare provider industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Treating patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Recording daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports as per PT Board standards.
- Assisting in departmental maintenance and participating in patient care and rehabilitation conferences.
- Supporting cleaning and upkeep of treatment areas.
- Following physician treatment plans and assisting nursing staff with restorative aide training.
- Communicating patient progress and issues with the healthcare team.
- Participating in staff training and recording treatment modifications according to policies.
- Educating patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training for discharge preparation.
- Reporting equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Casamba and Point Click Care.
- Ability to read and understand technical, policy, and procedural documents.
- Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
Physical and Work Environment:
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to exert significant force when moving objects.
- Work environment features low to moderate noise levels.
