Join us as a PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant at Kennedy Care Center

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Kennedy Care Center. This is a part-time, entry-level position in the healthcare provider industry.

Responsibilities include:

1. Treating patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
2. Recording daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports as per PT Board standards.
3. Assisting in departmental maintenance and participating in patient care and rehabilitation conferences.
4. Supporting cleaning and upkeep of treatment areas.
5. Following physician treatment plans and assisting nursing staff with restorative aide training.
6. Communicating patient progress and issues with the healthcare team.
7. Participating in staff training and recording treatment modifications according to policies.
8. Educating patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training for discharge preparation.
9. Reporting equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and understand technical, policy, and procedural documents.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and staff.

Physical and Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing.
