Job summary

Fast Rehab of Foot and Ankle Associates is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. You will provide evidence-based care for foot, ankle, knee, hip, and other lower-extremity conditions, with emphasis on balance, mobility, gait, and functional outcomes under supervision of a licensed PT.

The role emphasizes hands-on care, patient education, and collaboration with podiatrists and physical therapists to help patients regain independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in North Carolina.
• Interest in orthopedic outpatient therapy and lower-extremity rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Treat orthopedic and lower-extremity conditions, including injuries, postoperative needs, chronic pain, gait impairments, and mobility limitations.
• Perform therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities, gait training, manual therapy, and other interventions within the PTA's scope of practice.
• Provide balance, fall-prevention, gait, and assistive device training.
• Help patients improve strength, mobility, proprioception, gait mechanics, and functional independence.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, safety, footwear, and strategies for improving function outside the clinic.
• Communicate patient progress and treatment response to supervising PTs and the podiatry team.
• Maintain accurate, timely, compliant documentation and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
