Job summary

Dreams 2 Reality Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, restore function, and achieve rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing in the state where services are provided.
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation techniques, and outpatient orthopaedic treatment practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient safety, professional ethics, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment, document progress, and promptly communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist with patient assessments, data collection, treatment progression, and reassessment activities within the PTA’s scope of practice.
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation expectations.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress.
• Follow established rehabilitation protocols, clinical pathways, and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Exercise Physiologists, and other clinic team members to coordinate care.
• Support multidisciplinary care coordination and contribute to a positive, patient-centered rehabilitation experience.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Assist with maintaining therapy equipment, supplies, and treatment areas; identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Meet established productivity and performance expectations while maintaining high standards of patient care and service.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and treating patients, families, and colleagues with respect and compassion.
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support clinic operations through scheduling flexibility and coverage at assigned locations, as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the organization’s mission, values, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
