Sigma Health Rehab is a premier rehabilitation provider seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility team in New York. The role requires licensure in New York and a background in geriatric care or SNF settings, with mentoring and state-of-the-art therapy support.

You will work under a supervising PT, perform assessments, document progress, and help residents improve mobility using stretching, massage, and targeted exercises.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads with fieldwork welcome.

Responsibilities

• Follow the supervising physical therapist's plan of care.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Assist residents in performing exercises and applying techniques like stretching and massage.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship within the healthcare team.
