Aston Group is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team in Florida. You will support residents through rehabilitation, assist with exercises, and promote mobility under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Must complete an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA certification or Florida license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with elderly residents.
• Ability to collaborate with physical therapists and caregiving staff.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and SNF guidelines (preferred).
• Ability to lift and assist residents safely during activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility and gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy plans based on resident needs.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic activities and home programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and proper equipment use.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to support care plans.
• Encourage participation and independence in daily activities.
