Job summary

Aston Group in Florida is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents in a skilled nursing facility. Active Florida PTA license required; compassionate, learning mindset welcomed.

You will assist with mobility, gait training, and exercise programs under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, promoting independence and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA certification or license in Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with elderly or rehabilitating residents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plans.
• Encourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activities.
