Job summary

Sequoia Transitional Care in Porterville, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role. The position offers a pay range of $40.00 - $45.00 per hour (DOE) and requires an approved PTA credential in good standing.

The PTA will work with therapists to provide treatments, document care, and educate residents and families on home programs and safety measures. A collaborative, resident-centered environment supports professional growth and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• An accredited PTA program degree is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting is preferred but not required.
• Current California PTA license in good standing; CPR if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support resident goals.
• Assist with equipment and safety during transfers and mobility activities.
