Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to administer treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will assess and contribute to plans of care, update plans, and document progress while ensuring patient safety and proper discharge instructions.

Requirements include current Florida PTA license and CPR/BLS certification. Experience preferred; new grads considered.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in state of Florida.
• Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Experience preferred, will consider a new grad.
• Knowledge of federal and state professional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care under the Physical Therapist's direction.
• Administer physical therapy treatment to patients as defined by the plan of care.
• Update and adjust treatment plans in conjunction with the Physical Therapist.
• Confer with the Physical Therapist to discuss patient information for planning and coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare discharge instructions when needed.
