Vivo Healthcare Normandy in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with physical therapists to help residents achieve their highest functional potential in a skilled nursing facility.

You will assist with implementing treatment plans, educate residents and families, document progress, and participate in team meetings while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure as a PTA in the state of practice.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans to improve residents' mobility, strength, and overall functional ability.
• Conduct therapy sessions under supervision and in accordance with care plans.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report changes to the PT.
• Educate residents and families on exercises and home programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for holistic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Uphold safety standards and infection control in the therapy environment.
• Participate in meetings and professional development activities.
