Job summary

Vivo Healthcare Normandy seeks a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to support a rehabilitation program in a skilled nursing facility. The PTA will work with physical therapists to implement plans, monitor progress, and educate residents and families on exercises and home programs.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and current licensure in the practice state, with prior SNF experience preferred and a strong emphasis on teamwork and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Conduct therapy sessions under supervision and in accordance with care plans.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report changes to the PT.
• Educate residents and families on exercises and home programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for holistic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per state/federal regulations and policies.
• Uphold safety and infection control standards in therapy areas.
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development.
