Responsibilities include assisting with exercises, implementing plans under supervision, educating patients, and maintaining records. Florida PTA certification and 2+ years experience are preferred; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's in PTA studies preferred
• Current Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and goals
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Provide patient education and instruction on exercise techniques, proper body mechanics, and self-care strategies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic operations
