Job summary

Ridgecrest Health & Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a dedicated team in a full-time capacity. The PTA will assist a Physical Therapist in rehabilitation of patients recovering from illness or injury, focusing on restoring functional independence in a close-knit community.

The role requires a Florida PTA license and current CPR; SNF experience is preferred. Patients receive personalized care via comprehensive therapy plans and supportive staff in a serene setting.

Qualifications

• Current Florida License as a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• At least one year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
• Administers treatment programs for patients.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and reviewing therapy histories.
• Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing the therapist’s interpretations of evaluations and test results.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by guiding exercises and assisting patients in daily activities.
• Helps patients use devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Instructs and counsels patients on regimens and wellness practices.
