Job summary

Life Care Centers of America, a network of skilled nursing facilities in the United States, seeks a PTA to provide direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will work in a patient-centered environment across SNFs, following physician referrals and Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited PT program, licensed in the state, with CPR certification and willingness to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT.
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
