Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in Bath, NY, is hiring a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will follow plans of care under a supervising PT and help residents regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Observe and document on resident performance
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

New York State PTA License

Geriatric care experience
