Sigma Health Rehab in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will work under a supervising therapist, implement the plan of care, and help residents regain independence through therapeutic exercises and modalities.

New graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship, CEU reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401k.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads with relevant fieldwork encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship within the healthcare team.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local professional standards.

PTA Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License

• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply
  

  Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist

• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.

• Observe and document on resident performance.

• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.

• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.

• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team
