Job summary

Warsaw Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Warsaw, NC is hiring a Part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver patient-focused rehab under a PT supervision. You will participate in treatment planning, document progress, and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license/registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referrals to rehab.
• Document daily participation and progress with timely co-signature by PT.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with documentation per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically for PT services.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absence when needed.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.
• Provide in-service education regarding patient care or PT services.
• Comply with facility safety policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Adhere to productivity requirements.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere with professional conduct.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor or Regional Manager.
• Comply with facility policies re: lunch, sick and time off notification.
• Adhere to all other written and oral facility policies and procedures.
