• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting preferred; new graduates with fieldwork are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with specific exercises.
• Maintains resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team.

PTA Requirements Include:
