Sigma Health Rehab in Canandaigua, NY is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled therapy team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under a supervising PT to implement the plan of care and help residents regain mobility.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program and NY PTA license. New graduates are encouraged to apply; prior SNF or geriatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply.

Aufgaben

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document on resident performance.
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team.
