Job summary

Asheboro Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Asheboro, NC, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team in a long‑term care setting. You will work under the supervision of a PT to provide comprehensive treatments and support patient progress in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an accredited degree in Physical Therapy assistant, holds current NC license/registration, and is committed to compassionate, professional patient

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license/registration in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT as per state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab as needed.
• Document patient participation and progress with progress notes and PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Adhere to state guidelines and complete required documentation.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with scheduling and manage patient caseload as needed.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for PT services.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, families.
