Job summary

Southpoint Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in North Carolina is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position. You will provide treatment under a PT, help identify suitable patients for rehab, and document daily progress while following state guidelines.

The role requires a PTA degree recognized by the APTA and an active license/registration in the state. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, scheduling duties, and patient billing are included in the

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered.
