Job summary
East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents in mobility and rehabilitation goals. The role reports to a licensed Physical Therapist and emphasizes empathy, accuracy, and collaborative care within a skilled nursing environment.
The PTA will document progress, follow individualized plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person-centered care.
Qualifications
- Active PTA license in Georgia.
- Certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
- Passion for patient-centered care and helping others.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents in achieving mobility and rehabilitation goals
- Follow and implement individualized care plans with accuracy and empathy
- Foster a positive, motivating environment for residents and families
- Accurately document treatment sessions and progress notes
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person-centered care
