Job summary

Pine Acres Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Meadowview, NC is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team full-time. You will administer therapeutic exercises, support residents’ mobility, and help them regain independence under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and active state PTA license.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents with mobility and transfers, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions according to treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with improving strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Complete accurate documentation of therapy sessions, services rendered, and resident progress.
• Encourage residents to participate in their prescribed rehabilitation programs.
• Provide instruction to residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety practices.
• Coordinate care with nursing personnel and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to resident care planning and discharge preparation.
