Job summary

Magnolia Gardens Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Thomasville, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehab team on a part-time basis. You will help residents improve strength, mobility, and independence through individualized and group therapies in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a PTA.
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and meet the physical demands of the role.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide individual and group therapy to residents.
• Document daily treatments, resident progress, and billing accurately.
• Assist with discharge planning and resident education.
• Communicate with the rehabilitation team, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Participate in care meetings and facility initiatives.
• Support residents in achieving their therapy goals and maintaining the highest possible level of independence.
