Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and active state PTA license.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents with mobility.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions per treatment plans.
• Assist residents with improving strength, balance, coordination, and mobility.
• Monitor resident responses and report progress to supervising therapist.
• Complete accurate documentation of therapy sessions and resident progress.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety practices.
• Coordinate care with nursing personnel and other team members.
• Contribute to discharge planning and resident care planning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
